Wild Mountain Paleo was established in 2011 to provide an alternative to the long established health food industry model at both the wholesale and retail level. Our inspiration comes from the science-backed, intuitive food movements such as Paleo/Primal and "Real Foods" which feature grain-free and low-carb foods, and the pioneering efforts of many great grass-roots organizations. These groups are working hard to spread the truth about what are really healthy foods vs. the entrenched "so-called" health foods prevalent within the industry. We have developed the strictest set of ingredients guidelines of any health food supplier.

While important new information was finally getting out to the general public via books and web blogs, the average person found it very frustrating to easily find these foods in a system that was still based on profits over health. So our first step was to launch the Wild Mountain Paleo Market website in order to immediately get a large variety of carefully vetted foods into the hands of anyone that was able to shop over the internet.

Over time we were contacted by stores, clinics, gyms, and other retailers who wanted to carry our products in their own business. Thanks to the great support of our loyal customers, we are now able to fulfill these requests as a food distributor, which is allowing us to make a much bigger impact and contribution towards spreading the message of real health through real foods. If people are going to reclaim their health, we need to make this a lot easier, which means getting the foods to wherever people are shopping.

We focus our product lines on small, emerging vendors who typically have the best and purest products, but are still in the early stages of development where getting into supermarkets or large distributors is just not possible or practical. It's critical to support these vendors during the startup phase when they are most vulnerable, allowing them to grow and thrive and continue to expand their great product offerings. We are always on the lookout for great vendors that share our vision.
